The Division of Ultrasound Medicine at The Ohio State University Department of Emergency Medicine is focused on providing quality patient care utilizing state of the art ultrasound techniques. Our Ultrasound Division faculty focus on high quality ultrasound education for medical students, residents, fellows and attendings while publishing our educational advances in medical journals. Completing over 5,000 ultrasound cases per year between OSU main and East emergency departments, the ultrasound program continues to grow to serve the patients in central Ohio. The US Division faculty are active at national and international meetings where they give lectures, present posters and compete in ultrasound competitions. The division is staffed by 8 core faculty members, including Dr. David Bahner (Division Chief and Director), Dr. Creagh Boulger (Associate Director), Dr. Michael Prats (Assistant Director), Dr. Lauren Branditz (Education Director), Dr. Daralee Hughes (OSU East Ultrasound Director) as well as Drs. Delia Gold, Irene Mynatt and Jess Everett. Together, this group is engaged in academic excellence in clinical care using ultrasound, training new learners from across the medical spectrum, researching new knowledge and the administration of multiple quality programs nad projects within the Ultrasound Division.
